Youngsun & CJ met through mutual friends & hit it off instantaneously. Their ceremony was held at the King of Glory Lutheran Church in Fountain Valley. They had traditional vows as well as vows they wrote for each other which were sweet & funny. Thanks Anna & Joel for referring us such a wonderful couple. =)

I LOVE this shot Jeff got of Youngsun & her mother walking down the aisle.
The first thing Youngsun & CJ did at the reception was the paebaek ceremony. Paebaek is a traditional Korean wedding ritual where the groom’s family formally accepts the bride into their home. The ceremony was originally intended as a way for the bride to pay her respects to the groom’s family. Parents as well as relatives take turns sitting in front of a table laden with various edibles and tea, to receive their bow from the couple and offer blessings to the couple. The parents will throw dates and chestnuts which the bride and groom will attempt to catch with the bride’s apron. According to legend, the number of dates and chestnuts caught signify how many girls (dates) and boys (chestnuts) they will bear. As public display of his strength the groom carries his new bride on his back around the table.

I am really looking forward to this year for many reasons. Shaq is turning 10 on Feb. 14th, Jace is turning 1, 2 of my besties are turning 30 & I will have known Jeff for 10 years o_O and on top of that we have a lot of wonderful weddings lined up for the year. The year of the dragon is looking up & we are ready for it

Biltmore Hotel, Santa Barbara Wedding | Kyra & Chad

Kyra & Chad are the sweetest couple. Kyra look absolutely stunning in her dress and I love it when the men wear beige, tan, gray suits. They had a beautiful wedding in the courtyard of the Biltmore. This Hotel is a goldmine when it comes to photography locations. We were even able to walk right across the street to get some great photos on the beach. Chad’s dad was the best man. When Jeff & I found out we were surprised because Chad has so many friends yet he asked his dad to stand by his side. His father was so happy and proud and said he was even surprised when he was asked. Jeff & I talk about how happy it would make him if Jace were to ask him to be his bestman.Kyra wore her mother’s wedding dress. Below is a picture of her mother that was displayed on the guest table, with a signed that said, “Every bride wants her wedding dress to be special. What is more meaningful than to wear a dress that belonged to your mother… My mother’s dressmaker designed her wedding gown twenty-four years ago. Today I have the honor & pleasure of wearing the same dress, slightly altered by the same dress maker. Some of you here today may even remember! A wonderful gesture & a treasured gift!” Once I saw it I knew I wanted to recreate the pose

I just LOVE taking first glance photos of the couples, cuz 1. we get to have more time with the couple for portraits & 2. we get an opportunity capture beautiful emotions

Killer Clown Engagement Session | Michele & Marc | Griffith Park

We absolutely love doing fun engagement sessions like this one. This was shot at the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round. We thought it was the perfect place for a Clown Attack. Here’s how the story goes. Michele & Marc are having a fabulous time taking their engagement session pictures, when a clown starts to stalk them. He was drunk and having a bad day. Also, he just finished a 10 year old birthday party, where he was abused by the kids. He was mad that Michele & Marc look so happy and decided to ruin their photo session. But the clown was in for a big surprise; Michele & Marc were not going to let a him ruin their day. To see what happens, read the comic book below…

Jennie & Joe | Holiday Card

My sister-in-law and also best friend, Jennie wanted to do Holiday Cards, but she wanted to do something fun. Her and her boyfriend Joe love the movie Step Brothers, and they wanted to re-create the movie poster. I thought this was a great idea. I love shooting unique photo sessions. They want to start a tradition to do one of these each Christmas. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next year :)

Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Hills | Boudoir Session

A Pin-Up inspired Boudoir Session was what we were going for & I think we nailed it She wants to give her fiance a Pin Up Calendar Album as a wedding present. What a lucky guy. The room was beautiful, her make-up was amazing, and she had a lot of great outfits to choose from. I had a blast shooting this boudoir session. I wish I could shoot boudoir sessions every week. I mean look at her, hubba hubba

Sportsmen Lodge Wedding | Cathlene & Victor

Cathlene & Victor are such a fun couple & they have so much in common with Jeff & I. They both love basketball, they love Disneyland and they’re extremely competitive on the Buzz Lightyear & Toy Story rides. We have to agree with Cathlene on basketball though, she loves the Lakers. Victor likes the Suns, boo. But, he said he liked them since Charles Barkley was on the team, so Jeff said this was forgivable cuz Jeff is a big fan of Charles Barkley too. Their wedding was so much fun and we had a blast with the entire wedding party. We love it when we feel like guest at the party, no make that part of the bridal party

If you look closely you can see my belly silohuette in Victor’s glasses I absolutely LOVE seeing the couples first glance reactions. They always bring a smile to my face. Here’s Victor seeing his Bride for the first time. So happy in LOVE.Doesn’t this just make you feel all warm & fuzzy?

Los Angeles Engagement Session | Tiffany & Jonathan

Tiffany & Jonathan choose Downtown Los Angeles to do their engagement session. Some of our favorite spots in downtown are the Disney Concert Hall, LA Live and Angel’s Knoll, where the 500 Days of Summer Bench is. I love all the outfits Tiffany chose for the shoot, she looked absolutely amazing. I’m so excited to shoot their wedding at the Peterson Auto Museum.Rawr~LOVE the smiles~!!!I call this one happiness Kissing in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G.

Craig & Deborah contacted us because they have never EVER had a family photo taken of them and their 5 beautiful daughters all together. They set up a day of bar-b-que, beer & baseball

Craig is such a fun-loving dad & husband, oh & grandfather.

I adore this photo All 5 sisters had a significant other, so I basically shot 6 engagement sessions, individual portraits & group shots.

Baby Jace

Wow~ This is Jace at one week old. I can’t believe how small he looks. He recently had his six month check up & weighed in at 20 pounds. You really have to take pictures all the time because they change so much. You don’t notice the changes until you look back at the photos.

Teeny, weeny, feetsie weetsies. Adding y’s & ies to words after having a baby is a given hahaha~ love crying baby photos.Shaq watching over his baby brother <3<3<3Smooched lips
